To establish a non-profit organization and prepare the founding documents, we will need from you the name, registered office address, details of at least five people (founders and officials) and the public benefit purpose for which it was created. We will summarize everything for you in the emails we send you, all you have to do is contact us.
The name of the foundation can be in Slovak as well as in a foreign language. The name must be marked "foundation". The name must not be derogatory, offensive or interchangeable with the name of another foundation that already operates in the territory of the Slovak Republic. If no match is found, the name is free.
The seat of the foundation serves mainly as a correspondence address. You can have your seat in an apartment, house, or any other real estate. Most clients state the address of residence of one of the members as the seat of the foundation. You are not obliged to operate at the registered office address.
The Foundation may be established by a natural or legal person. One person can also be the founder. However, for the proper composition of the bodies, you will need at least 5 natural persons (3 persons to the board of directors + administrator + auditor). The foundation can also be established by a foreigner (a person residing outside the territory of the Slovak Republic) or several foreigners.
The Foundation is obliged to publish an annual report in the register of financial statements every year. The Foundation shall submit the annual report to the public part of the register of financial statements by 15 July at the latest. What other obligations will have (accounting, levy, tax ...) depends on the nature of the income they receive.

No, the foundation is not required to have a bank account, it is voluntary. However, if you plan to collect 2% of the tax from the foundation, you will need a bank account.
In order for the foundation to receive 2% of the tax, it must register with a notary in the list of recipients of 2% of the tax. Registration takes place every year only between 15 September and 15 December. The main condition for the foundation to be able to register to receive 2% of the tax this year is that it was established last year or earlier (2021, 2020, 2019 ...). This means that if we set up a foundation for you now, you will not be able to register as a recipient of 2% of the tax until 2023, and the first 2% of the funds will come to your account in 2024 (for the 2023 tax period). If you would like to collect 2% of the tax as soon as possible, we have our civic associations available for sale. Our associations can receive 2% of the tax a year earlier than the foundation we would now establish for you. Our associations did not carry out any activities and are without any obligations and were established only for the purpose of resale. We contractually guarantee the indebtedness of our associations.
